Week 13 He Lives

November 4, 2018 Elder Nayusan and I broke a mission record last Monday evening. Whenever a companionship will get a new person that they are teaching, they will text to their district leader, then to zone leader, and to the President's Assistants. The text you send is "#gametime" and if you get multiple people in the same lesson, you will put "gametimex2" or "gametimex3." Well anyway, on Monday we got to send the text "#gametimex8" because we taught a Samoan family. Our district leader called us thinking it was a typo, zone leaders called to ask how that happened, and then the assistants called to congratulate us. What was cool about that, is that our goal for new people to teach was 8, and that was an astronomical goal for here in Australia, normally you are lucky to get 3 new. But we went all week without teaching anybody new, but then we got all 8 at once! God is aware of our efforts and wants to bless you if you are patient! ...

Week 12 Seek Diligently

October 29, 2018      Time is short today, so I will only include what I feel impressed to include, along with a bit of what went on this week . This week was most definitely a week of being "called to serve." We are allotted only 4 hours of service per week , yet somehow we ended up doing around 9. Dug a hole for a friend on Monday, we laid mulch for a friend of ours Tuesday, laid mulch for a region-wide service project Saturday, pulled up some pavers for another friend on Friday, and also took apart a trampoline on Friday, and planted some flowers and trimmed palm fronds today for a member .       I am called to do, say, and be as Jesus would, if He were here, and people are often surprised when we are in our white shirts, and are helping them with their pavers/trampoline/dig a hole, and then I explain that to them, and they are always touched by it, even if they are not religious, or if they don't agree with our views. ...

Week 11 The Power of God

October 21, 2018 This week was one that brought humility. On Monday, just as we were trying to head out and do the Lord's work, almost as if God were sending me a signal that this week would be different, there was one little storm cloud in the sky. Just as we hopped on the bikes, it let loose and delivered two lightning strikes and thunder that I have never had the privilege of beholding in my life. Elder Nayusan hates the rain, yet I love it, and even though we got soaked from a seemingly nonexistent cloud, I couldn't have been happier. We had rain 6/7 days this week , and it only rained lightly (quite a bit for those in Utah) , and lasted less than an hour. I have been told that we will continue getting a small storm like that every day until November/December when the rain will really come. It cools down for a bit, and then about 10 minutes after the rain stops, the humidity goes through the roof. On Thursday, I found some true Australian spiders....

Week 10 By Small and Simple Things

October 14, 2018 Events of this week This week was extremely focused on doing the will of the Lord, and doing all I can to be ready for what He has in mind for me. Tuesday Sister Backer fed us again. We basically get fed by her every Tuesday or Friday, and she is awesome . S he has a farm where she has snakes, wallabies, birds and who knows what else. Wednesday, we followed up with a friend named Angus  and were able to help him understand the role of his Heavenly Father in his personal life, and how we are able to talk to God through prayer, and He responds through the good feelings/thoughts that come through the Holy Ghost. Prayer is something that has stood out to me since entering the mission field. It truly is a blessing, and is requisite to having a solid foundation with our Heavenly Father. If we pray in the name of His Son, Jesus Christ, and do all that we possibly can do to do His will, then our prayers will be answe...
